2nd participatory workshop

The second participatory workshop for the Thessaloniki Social Atlas occurred on Thursday 03 October 2024. The purpose of the participatory workshop was to inform individuals and institutions of Thessaloniki about the Social Atlas, as well as to explore ways in which they could contribute. The workshop was co-organised by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, School of Architecture AUTh, and the Heinrich Heinrich Böll Stiftung, Thessaloniki – Greece.

The new project of the Social Atlas of Thessaloniki was presented by Charis Christodoulou, Director of the Department of Urban Planning AUTh. Michalis Goudis, Director of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, Thessaloniki – Greece, gave a welcome address.

In the first part of the workshop, the Atlas team informed the participants on various aspects of the project. The first part was led by: Vivian Kounio (Böll Foundation), Loukas Triantis (AUTh), and Kostas Cheliotis (AUTh partner).

In the second part, the Thessaloniki Social Atlas team recorded the ideas and expectations of the participants for enriching the content and approaches of the Atlas and possible synergies. The second part was led by: Evie Athanassiou (AUTh), Vasilis Pangalos (Böll Foundation), and Charis Christodoulou (AUTh).

The workshop was moderated by Giorgos Melissourgos (Böll Foundation).

In the end, the Social Atlas of Thessaloniki team recorded the participants’ evaluations and their intentions for future contributions.
